The Bonita High School Girls Varsity Tennis Team has had quite the season so far, as they are undefeated. Smashing through every game, smashing down every point. as they go into league, all of the girls are extremely excited and have a good mindset.
Shanaya Sen is currently a junior, an elite player, and plays in doubles on the varsity tennis team. "My favorite aspect about being a part of tennis is being able to share my love for the sport with others who share that same passion." she explained. Friendships forged on the team are among the closest , fostering a supportive environment.
Shanaya extends a shoutout to Coach Harrison for his unwavering support and guidance, as well as to teammates Ellie Delgadillo and Penny Harrison, praising their positivity, kindness, and ability to uplift others.
Abhaya Brahmkshatri, a senior on the team , says "I love leading the team cheer every game, it gets everyone, especially me, hyped for what's to come. " She shows her love for leading the team in cheer, having everyone in their best attitude and mindset before they start their matches.
The pre-games rituals include a pep talk from Coach Harrison and an energizing Bonita cheer. "Be stingy and don't give it to them." This is their motto for every game and match which shows their mindset as they are undefeated.
As the team looks into the future. They plan on training hard, keeping that signature positive attitude, lifting each other up, and playing to their fullest potential. The teams goals right now is to defeat Claremont, which they have been chipping away at for years. The teams determination and drive to take down Claremont has gotten stronger over many years. They believe this is the year they are going to beat their top opponent in their league.
